Financial assistance

There is a range of funding sources that you may be eligible for to assist you going on exchange. The scholarships/grants listed in the table below do not need to be applied for. If you are applying for exchange to a particular country or partner where funding is available you will be automatically considered.

Austudy/Youth Allowance 

If you currently receive this benefit, you will continue to do so while you are away. You may also be eligible for Rental Assistance so make sure you enquire at Centrelink before leaving.

OS-HELP Loans 

If you are an undergraduate student and an Australian citizen (or on a permanent humanitarian visa) you can also apply for an OS-HELP loan. To be eligible you must have one full-time semester to complete at ECU on return from exchange. Applications are made through ECU’s Study Abroad and Exchange Office. Download the OS-HELP application.
