Financial assistance
There is a range of funding sources that you may be eligible for to assist you going on exchange. Most of the scholarships/grants (excluding the OS-Help loan and the CasaSwap Student Grant) listed in the table below do not need to be applied for. If you are applying for exchange to a particular country or partner where funding is available you will be automatically considered. Please see the bottom of the page for information on applying for the OS-Help loan and the CasaSwap Student Grant).
This list will change every semester and the current list is for students going on exchange in semester 2, 2012.

CasaSwap Student Grant

OS-HELP Loans
If you are an undergraduate student and an Australian citizen (or on a permanent humanitarian visa) you can also apply for an OS-HELP loan. To be eligible you must have 60 credit points to complete towards your degree on return from your exchange placement. Applications are made through ECU’s Study Abroad and Exchange Office. Austudy/Youth Allowance
If you currently receive this benefit, you will continue to do so while you are on exchange. You may also be eligible for Rental Assistance so make sure you enquire at Centrelink before leaving.
