If an emergency situation occurs, you should try to contact the International Department at your host institution as they will be able to assist you immediately. As soon as possible you should try to make contact with the family and friends who will be worried about your safety. It is also vital that you contact the ECU Study Abroad and Exchange Office so that we can assist in ensuring your safety.

It is also advisable that in the event of a natural disaster or other emergency that you contact the nearest Australian Consulate or Embassy as soon as possible. They will be able to assist you in making contact with family back in Australia
