Eligibility Requirements
Undergraduate Students
In order to be eligible for exchange you must meet the following criteria:
- Be in good academic standing
- Have completed at least one year of full time study or 8 units of your degree with ECU at the time of application*
- Be able to study the equivalent of a full-time load while overseas
- Obtain approval from your ECU Course Coordinator for the units you wish to study overseas
- Demonstrate you have access to sufficient funds for the exchange period
- Satisfy all host institution and host country entry requirements
- Show your ability to be a good ambassador for ECU
Postgraduate Students
Postgraduate students are usually eligible to go on exchange; however, you must check with your course coordinator or supervisor. If there are no course restrictions, then the same eligibility requirements as undergraduates apply, with the exception of the following:
- Must have completed at least one semester of your ECU course at ECU by the application due date
- Have transcripts/results for any previous study completed - for example, an undergraduate degree
International Students
International students are eligible to take part in the exchange program as per the eligibility requirements for Undergraduate students. Please note that some institutions may require you to take a TOEFL/IELTS test (at your own expense) before you will be accepted to study with them.
