1. Apply for Admission to ECU

Consult your home university Exchange Office to find out if you are eligible to apply to ECU as an exchange student. All paperwork will need to be submitted to ECU via the Exchange Office at your home University. No applications will be taken from students on an individual basis.

Applicants must submit the following via their Exchange Office:

a) ECU Exchange Application form
b) Original Academic Transcript from your home university
c) Evidence of English Language Proficiency (if required) English language requirements for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies can be found here.

Please note that incomplete application packages will slow the process; complete application packages should be submitted by the deadline dates below

Application Deadlines: For Semester 1 (February) start – 31 October
For Semester 2 (July) start – 30 April

2. Wait for a Letter of Offer

If your application is successful, we will send you a Letter of Offer via your
Exchange Co-ordinator, by email.

3. Accept the Offer

To accept an offer, you must pay the Overseas Health Charge Fee by OSHC Credit Card Form as outlined in your Offer Letter. Details of the policy can be found here. This is a compulsory requirement for students other than Norwegian and Swedish students. Also, you will need to return the Exchange Acceptance of Offer.

4. Wait for a Letter of Acceptance and Confirmation of Enrolment

When the University receives your Letter of Acceptance and the fees described in the Offer of Admission, you will be issued with a Confirmation of Enrolment (COE). This will be sent via your Exchange Co-ordinator, by email.
The Australian Diplomatic Mission will not issue you with a student visa until Australian Immigration staff receive a Confirmation of Enrolment issued by the University.

YOUR ENROLMENT AT ECU

Please do not return the Enrolment Request Form unless the semester timetable has been posted and you have chosen tutorial and lecture times. The timetable for Semester 1 is generally available by mid November and by mid May for Semester 2.

To request enrolment in your Exchange Semester, please refer to Online Handbook/Calendar Instructions and Online Timetable Instructions and complete the Enrolment Request Form taking note of the instructions.
