The Information Security Team is responsible for:

  • Setting policy for the protection of the University’s information assets
  • Researching and recommending systems and software to protect the University’s information assets
  • Raising awareness within the university community regarding information security
  • Proposing measures and systems that will monitor breaches to information security
  • Monitor and control security aspects of ECU’s information and technology environment on an ongoing basis
  • Investigation and documentation of security breaches in conjunction with other IT sections
  • Investigation of complaints about security breaches originating form ECU facilities
  • Recommending remedial measures to prevent and rectify any breaches to ECU’s information environment
