The CLT Directorate
The CLT Directorate consists of the Head of CLT, Dr Susan Stoney, Business Manager, Mr Terry Smith and Executive Officer, Ms Tania Behr.
The Directorate is responsible for providing effective leadership in the implementation and management of the Centre. This includes: -
Creating strategic, business and operational plans which are aligned with the University's Strategic Plan.
Providing high level guidance on the adoption of learning systems, resources and strategies to support sound pedagogy. Providing leadership and guidance to staff in the Centre. Establishing good communication links and a climate of cooperation with all other organisational units within ECU, and with potential partners in business and industry. Planning and coordinating the administrative and financial management requirements of the Centre to ensure achievement of optimum performance in the delivery of all requisite services/products and effective management of its resources. Conducting research into teaching and learning and the technologies that support good pedagogy and practice. Exploring opportunities that have the potential to improve the outcomes and performance of specific work areas within CLT and ensuring that organisational, team and individual performance management plans, and quality assurance procedures, are implemented and that all agreed outcomes are achieved. Implementing and facilitating the achievement of team work outcomes in accordance with ECU management practice including financial/human resource delegation and relevant legislation on Occupational Safety and Health and Equal Opportunity. Representing the Centre on appropriate University committees and contributing to the overall goals and objectives of the University.
