ECU Library Client Survey

ECU Library has been conducting client surveys for several years now. In 2004 the format of this survey was changed from an in-house survey to an online library client survey developed by the Rodksi Behavioural Research Group, commonly referred to as the Rodksi Survey. Most university libraries in both Australia and New Zealand now use this survey as a means of determining whether library services are meeting client needs. Using the Rodksi Survey allows us to identify our Library’s library strengths and weaknesses, to assess our clients’ perceptions of library services and to recognise different expectations; as well as allowing us to compare ECU Library with other university libraries on a national and international scale.

The survey covers five broad categories including Communication, Service Quality, Service Delivery, Facilities and Equipment, and Library Staff. Under these headings statements are made on library services factors and users are asked to rate the importance of each factor and how well ECU Library performs.
