Q. Can I access the ECU Catalogue and catalogues of other Universities?
A.   Catalogues are openly available on the web

Q.  How do the Journal Databases work?
A.   Library Journal Databases at ECU provide a range of material including Journal articles.
To access them you will need to authenicate as an ECU staff or student. To learn how to use them the Liberty Module : Finding Journal Articles .

Q.  What can I do if I can't find enough material for my research?
A.  You can ask a Subject Librarian to do a search on your behalf.
 We will supply article references for you to request the full articles via Document Delivery Services.

Q. How do I access databases from off shore?
A.  Databases are available on the Find Journal Article page. They are available via the MetaQuest Portal and the InDoor Gateway.
Access to each system is determined by you associtaion with ECU

Q. How can I obtain copies of journal articles?
A.  Some databases include full text.  You can request articles not held by ECU via the ECU VDX at Document Delivery .

Q. Can I borrow books, videos or cassettes?
A.  The ECU Library does not lend material offshore.  However, we can send a copy of the contents page, and a photocopy book chapters.
