Doing Your Own Search
The
Library has online databses for students
become independent learners.
The Liberty program will guide you in the process of researching a topic.
You can contact a Subject Librarian
for advice, and if convenient, you are welcome to come and
Use The Library In Person.
Two aspects of our online services are:
The
Library Catalogue
The Library Catalogue lists all items held by ECU library, including print
material and e-journals available online.
The catalogue shows which campus holds the item, and where possible
links to online items.
There are no restrictions
on access to the ECU catalogue. However, many online resources are restricted
to ECU students.
See Requesting Material to find
out what material is available from the library and how
to get it.
Databases of journal article references
Journal articles are a keyl resource for university
study, these are indexed by databases.
The Library subscribes to almost 200 databases covering
thousands of journals.
Most of the databases can be accessed remotely through the Web via Find Articles
If you have database access but are unsure how to use
them, see the Liberty module : Finding
Journal Articles.
If you cannot access the databases you can Requesting material.
