Off-shore FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions About Off-shore Services)
Online materials
- Search the ECU library catalogue for ebooks (online books) on a topic
- Search the ECU library databases to find online journal articles on a topic
- Exam papers are available online from the library catalogue under the unit code
Print materials and videos
- Loans of print materials and video/DVD's are currently unavailable to off-shore students.
- To request chapters from books held at ECU, please use the Book Chapter Request Form. Also use this form to request the table of contents from a book if you need to select a specific chapter for photocopying. See Australian Copyright provisions.
Where possible copies will be supplied online to your ECU email address
- When requesting copies of print articles, of items held at ECU, please request via the Catalogue. Select "Remote ECU Students/Staff" as the pickup location.
- Off-shore Undergraduates may request copies from items from other WA Universities via Document Delivery Services provided the item is not held at ECU.
Photocopies
Photocopies
are supplied free of charge.
All
requests must comply with Australian Copyright provisions.
Edith
Cowan University Library will supply:
- Photocopies from items held at any ECU Campus Library
- Photocopies from items held by West Australian libraries
- For postgraduates, photocopies of materials available from any library world-wide using Document Delivery Services.
Reciprocal
borrowing
It may
be possible for you to borrow from a university or other libraries
in your area.
There
is no guarantee that you will be given borrowing privileges,
and you may be charged for the service.
