About the Australasian Digital Thesis (ADT) Project
Summary
New and recently
graduated higher degree research students are encouraged to submit
copies of their theses to the Australasian Digital Theses Program
(ADT). Participation in the Program is mandatory.
The Program
The ADT program aims to provide a national collaborative database
making research theses produced at Australasian universities widely
available electronically via the Web. It is based on the Networked Digital Library of Theses
and Dissertations, a project led by the Virginia Polytechnic Institute
in the U.S.A.
The Benefits
Participation in the Program provides:
- Enhanced access to research theses – at present often difficult to obtain.
- Improved recognition of researchers and research undertaken.
- Raised profile of ECU higher degree programs.
Restriction
If a thesis contains confidential or commercially sensitive information,
the level of access to the digitised version on the ADT database
can be restricted fully or partially for a defined period of
time.
More Information
Further information about the Program and the database of available
theses can be accessed from the ADT Program Website .
