Professor Robert Newton and Dr Daniel Galvão from the Vario Health Institute have been granted $500,000 in the latest round of funding from the National Health and Medical Research Council.The project is titled A Phase III clinical trial of exercise modalities on treatment side-effects in men receiving therapy for prostate cancer.
Their study aims to reduce the adverse side effects of prostate cancer treatment through the prescription of exercise.
The study will involve 195 men in the Perth, Bunbury and Brisbane areas over twelve months.
