ECU has received more than $9 million from the Federal Government to upgrade and extend facilities available to students.
The funding will be used for the construction of a crèche facility, and for site works for the development of new student accommodation at the Mount Lawley campus.
Also at Mount Lawley, renewal works will be undertaken to improve teaching spaces for the Faculty of Education and Arts with visual arts design studios, media and broadcasting facilities and student study areas.
Students in the Faculty of Computing, Health and Science at the Joondalup Campus will benefit from additional laboratories.
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kerry Cox, said ECU was pleased to have received the once-off injection of funds from the Federal Government.
"This additional funding allows ECU to continue to develop state-of-the-art, quality facilities to help our students gain the most out of their experience with us, and, ultimately, reach their potential" he said.
