The ECU Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Kerry O. Cox and Deputy-Vice-Chancellor (Research) and Vice-President, Professor John Finlay-Jones have just met with senior leaders of eight universities in Shaanxi Province and in Jiangxi Province to further develop partnerships and collaboration between ECU and Chinese universities.

These collaborations take the form of student and staff exchange, articulation, joint teaching programs and joint research programs.

The universities visited included Shaanxi Normal University, Northwest University, Nanchang University and several other universities, all of which have much to offer ECU's internationalisation goals, and for whom ECU, in return, will make significant contributions to their internationalisation goals.

On his return to Australia Professor Cox said the commitment to excellence in the Chinese universities he was fortunate enough to visit, in a very busy week in China, has no bounds.

"ECU is fortunate to have the opportunities to work with such excellent partner universities," he said.
