ECU International Manager, Mr Callum Cowell has recently travelled to Kagoshima, Japan one of Perth's sister cities, to formalise a new partnership with the International University of Kagoshima (IUK).

Mr Cowell met with IUK President, Dr Satoshi Sechiyama to hand-deliver a Memorandum of Understanding signed by Vice-Chancellor Professor Kerry Cox.

This new partnership was developed as a result of a visit to Kagoshima led by City of Perth Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi earlier this year, organised to acknowledge the 35th anniversary of the sister city relationship between Perth and Kagoshima.

The partnership will foster collaboration between the two universities, staff and student exchange opportunities and joint research projects.
