Associate Professor Lobo has been associated with ECU and its predecessor institutions since 1974, when he joined the Churchlands College of Advanced Education as a lecturer.
Established in 1952, The World Leisure Organisation is a non-profit, non-governmental association of people and organisations from throughout the world, all committed to the belief that well-selected leisure experiences improve the quality of life for all - from childhood to later life.
The Board of Directors' primary role is to set policy and direction for the organisation, including the approval of those programs designed to accomplish its mission.
According to Dr Christopher R Edginton, Secretary General of the World Leisure Organisation, Professor Lobo is one of the world's most senior scholars, statesmen and spokespeople for recreation, parks and leisure.
