ECU Student Health Services renew important accreditation

ECU Student Health Services renew important accreditation

ECU's Student Health Services have recently renewed their accreditation with Australian General Practices Accreditation Limited (AGPAL).

To achieve this accreditation, the team worked for 12 months to implement the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) Standards General Practices, which is the nationally recognised standard for assessment of general practice.

The renewal of this accreditation demonstrates both quality and safety of practice, as well as the Service's commitment to improving the level of service to the ECU community.

The accreditation program was developed jointly by AGPAL and various medical organisations including the Australian Medical Association (AMA). It is a voluntary national program that aims to provide a range of guarantees to patients by accrediting the practice environment.

Congratulations to Dr Rob Chandler and his team on this significant achievement.
