In line with ECU's commitment to equity and diversity and ensuring that all staff get the opportunity to reach their potential and speak for themselves, the University has been running a series of Coffee Conversations as a part of the Women@ECU initiative.
The next 'conversation' will be held on:
Date: Wednesday, 29 July 2009
Time: 12:00pm 2:00pm
Venue: Kurongkurl Katitjin Art Gallery (Building 15, Room 127) Mount Lawley Campus.
The 'conversation' will explore the value for women in participating on internal and external working groups, committees and boards as a mean of building confidence, skills, experience and networks on a personal and professional level to benefit ECU, the community and the individual.
The keynote speaker will be Professor Colleen Hayward, Acting Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Equity & Indigenous) who will share a personal perspective on the topic. Colleen will be supported by a panel to be chaired by Dr Susan King which will engage in a question and answer session on opportunities for women at ECU.
All staff, male and female, are encouraged to attend. Bring a friend and enjoy some lively discussion and networking with colleagues. A light luncheon will be served.
For catering purposes, staff wishing to attend must enrol online by Monday, 27 July 2009.
