Oration by the Vice-Chancellor's Distinguished Orator for 2009, The Honourable Chief Justice Dr Robert French

Staff, students and community members are invited to attend the Oration by the Vice-Chancellor’s Distinguished Orator for 2009, the Honourable Chief Justice Dr Robert French.

Dr French was appointed Chief Justice of the High Court of Australia in 2008, and has a long history of association with ECU, having served as foundation Chancellor from 1991 to 1996 and receiving an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from ECU in 1998.

Dr French’s Oration will be on The Constitution and Human Rights, and will be of interest to all students and staff, particularly those studying or working in law, criminology or justice.

When: 4.00pm on Friday, 20 November
Where: Building 32 Lecture Theatre, ECU Joondalup
