The Vario Wellness Clinic has received two awards from the Council on the Ageing for the Living Longer Living Stronger (LLLS) fitness program for seniors which runs at the Joondalup Campus.
Living Longer Living Stronger is a strength training program that has been developed by the Council on the Ageing to help prevent a wide range of health conditions in people aged over 50. The program is offered at almost 60 fitness centres and gyms in WA with more than 6,000 seniors taking part each week.
Ms Roberta Galvao from the Vario Wellness Clinic was awarded the Most Outstanding Metropolitan Instructor for demonstrating excellence in working with older adults. Roberta was commended for her level of skills and expertise, supporting participants in the program and for improving the delivery of the LLLS program at the Clinic.
The Vario Wellness Clinic was recognised with the Gold Excellence Award for outstanding commitment to seniors. The Vario Wellness Clinic has increased and maintained participant numbers while providing a quality experience for all participants in the program.
