ECU and Nanchang University formalise new partnership

Vice-Chancellor Professor Kerry Cox and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International) Professor Tony Watson met with Professor Xu Qiuzhen, Vice President of Nanchang University (NCU) today to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions.

Nanchang University is located in the Jiangxi province of China, and offers courses in the arts, business, science, medicine, engineering, education and computer science.

Professor Quizhen was accompanied by NCU’s Director of International Exchange Professor Xu Maoyun, Dean of Gongging College Professor Zhao Guojie, Dean of Software Engineering Professor Lu Xiaoyong and Director of the Employment Training Centre Professor Yang Yuzhen.

Delegates from NCU also met with Associate Deans (International) Professor Gengsheng Shen, Professor Maryam Omari and Professor Jim Cross and representatives from ECU International to discuss future cooperation between NCU and ECU.

The new partnership will see articulation and exchange programs in place for courses in communications and arts, the Masters of Business Administration and software engineering.

Following the official ceremony at ECU Joondalup, the NCU delegates toured the campus to visit the facilities.
