Middle Schooling Association of Western Australia (MSAWA) recognises School of Education staff

Associate Professor Terry de Jong, Mrs Patricia Kershaw, Dr Lesley Newhouse-Maiden and Dr Bill Leadbetter from the School of Education have been recognised with an Outstanding Service Award for their significant contributions in advancing the work of the Middle Schooling Association of Western Australia (MSAWA).

Dr Rod Chadbourne was presented with the MSAWA Career Service Award, which is the highest award given for career service. This award honours Rod’s seminal research into the philosophy and practice of middle schooling.

The inaugural Middle Schooling Association of Western Australia Awards were presented on Thursday, 26 November at Annual General Meeting of the MSAWA.

The aim of the awards was to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of individuals who have made a significant contribution to the education of young adolescents.
