Students rate Dr Lorraine Hammond as ECU's best

Congratulations to School of Education senior lecturer Dr Lorraine Hammond who was awarded second place in the Unijobs Lecturer of the Year awards.

Lorraine was one of 39 finalists and was also voted by students as ECU’s top lecturer.

Lorraine is a dedicated lecturer who is inspirational to students at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. She is also a researcher and PhD supervisor at the Edith Cowan Institute for Education Research.

As well as her university teaching, Lorraine shares her expertise with many teachers in areas related to literacy and dyslexia, and has spoken at many conferences in Australia and around the world to share her knowledge.

The awards program attracted more than 65,000 nominations from university students and staff around Australia. First place was awarded to Dr Ross Odell from the University of New South Wales.
