Earlier this month ECU’s School of Education hosted more than 100 drama educators and pre-service teachers for the ‘Drama Revival’ conference.

Held in collaboration with DramaWest – the professional association for drama educators in WA – the conference aimed to ‘revive’ a sense of community among drama educators.

Aboriginal playwright and musician David Milroy gave an inspirational keynote address which was followed by performances, workshops and networking opportunities.

Delegates participated in workshops about masked dance, working in the round, improvisation, body awareness, language and production and design.

The day was a great success thanks to the contributions of Ms Christina Gray, Associate Professor Dalip Sondhi and ECU Drama Education students who assisted on the day.
