Thousands of supporters gathered at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on Sunday, 6 October to celebrate the graduation of almost 1,000 ECU students who finished their studies mid-year.

A total of 529 graduates from the Faculty of Education and Arts and the Faculty of Computing, Health and Science crossed the stage at the afternoon ceremony.

The evening ceremony saw 468 graduates from the Faculty of Business and Law receive their degrees.

Following each ceremony a ‘Toast to Graduates’ was held, giving graduates an opportunity to celebrate their achievement with family, friends and ECU staff.

In leading the Charge to Graduates, Vice-Chancellor Professor Kerry Cox encouraged ECU graduates to use the University values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry and Personal Excellence in their personal and professional lives.

Professor Cox also urged graduates to apply their abilities and knowledge to make a difference to their community.

Graduation ceremonies for students completing their studies at the end of semester two will be held in January 2010.
