John at the ECU micro-brewery
Nail Stout, brewed by ECU graduate John Stallwood at the Joondalup Campus micro-brewery, has won gold at the annual International Beer Challenge held in London this month.
The Challenge is known as the world’s largest packaged beer competition with 300 beers judged by an expert panel over two days.
John graduated with a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) in 1995 and launched Nail Ale in 2000.
Since then, Nail Brewing has won a number of major national and state awards over the last few years.
John attributes his success to the business skills he gained through his ECU degree and advice from ECU’s Brewing lecturer, Hugh Dunn.
Congratulations to John on this world-class achievement.
