ECU graduations are an exciting time for all graduating students but South Australian couple Judith and Brian Leeson have double the reason to celebrate.

Last Sunday Judith and Brian, who are both in their seventies, were each awarded the Graduate Certificate of Career Development after completing the four-unit course part-time as external students.

Judith and Brian crossed the stage one after the other, receiving a big cheer from the crowd at the Faculty of Business and Law graduation ceremony.

Judith says that she and Brian are both passionate about career development and encourage the ‘life-long’ approach to learning.

“Brian and I have both really enjoyed our studies as it’s given us a refresher in all aspects of career development,” she said.

“We’re both proof that you’re never too old and we haven’t ruled out further studies at ECU.”
