Professor Rob Newton recognised by the Australian Association of Gerontology

ECU’s Professor Rob Newton recently travelled to Adelaide to give the 2009 Keith Wilson Oration at the Australian Association of Gerontology annual conference.
Rob’s presentation about ‘Exercise and Older People: the need to pump iron’ highlighted the importance of physical exercise in reducing the risk of chronic diseases.
Rob was also presented with the Keith Wilson Oration Award for his contributions to gerontology research.
The Australian Association of Gerontology is a peak professional organisation linking people who work across the multidisciplinary fields of ageing.
