ECU Mount Lawley Open Day, held on Sunday, 25 July
ECU Mount Lawley welcomed almost 5,000 prospective students and their families on Sunday, 25 July for the Mount Lawley Open Day.
The day was a huge success, with visitors given the chance to meet with teaching staff, as well as past and present students, discuss course and career options and explore the campuses state-of-the art facilities.
Information sessions gave prospective students an insight into campus life, and interactive activities such as glass blowing demonstrations and motorsports displays provided ongoing entertainment.
Aspiring TV presenters tried their hand at weather presenting in ECU’s broadcasting studios, while campus tours allowed visitors to explore the campus, and get a feel for university life.
Talented WAAPA dancers, actors and musicians thrilled audiences with performances throughout the day, and gave aspiring students the chance to see backstage with musical, acting and dance rehearsals.
Work by production, design, costume, sound and lighting students was showcased in special costume parades, and contemporary vocal students delighted audiences with performances in the musical auditorium.
The Contiki tent offered visitors the chance to win fantastic prizes, and the Nova Casanovas provided entertainment, music and family friendly activities.
The event followed the success of the Joondalup Open Day, held on Sunday, 18 July at the ECU Joondalup campus.
