ECU is proud to support Adult Learners' Week in Australia, and initiative of the International Festival of Adult Learning.
Each year Adult Learners' Week is celebrated with nationally with hundreds of events and activities designed to promote the benefits of learning both at home, work and in the community.
Starting Wednesday, 1 September, the Centre for Learning and Development, with the support of the schools and faculties, will be hosting a number of free events and activities aimed at adult learners.
The events and activities are open to ECU staff and students, as well as members of the community, and will tie in with the national Adult Learners’ Week celebrations.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Teaching and Learning, Professor Ron Oliver encourages all staff and students to take part.
“ECU is committed to improving the educational opportunities of adult learners as well as their educational experiences and is pleased to be participating in, and supporting, Adult Learners’ week for 2010.”
“I encourage our staff and students to take an interest in this event and to participate in the various activities that have been organised,” said Professor Oliver.
