ECU was recently recognised at the Urban Development Industry of Australia (UDIA) WA Awards for Excellence, winning the 'Residential Development Under 250 Lots' award for Churchlands Green.

The UDIA WA awards recognise excellence and innovation within the development field, and are one of the most respected and well recognised industry awards in the state.

The winners were announced at a gala dinner on Saturday, 4 September, with the award accepted by ECU Project Managers, NS Projects.

Formerly ECU’s Churchlands Campus, Churchlands Green was developed after the University made a strategic decision to consolidate its metropolitan activities at the Joondalup and Mount Lawley campuses.

With the support of the State Government, a 20ha premium housing estate was established with proceeds from the land sales being used to fund new and improved facilities at Mount Lawley and Joondalup.

Churchlands Green is now a thriving residential community in its fourth stage of development.

“We are pleased and proud to receive this award, which recognises the fantastic success of the Churchlands Green Development,” said Director of ECU’s Facilities and Services, Mr Brian Yearwood.
