WAAPA masters student, Ms Deborah Rogers, will join the Opera Queensland Young Artist Program

Congratulations to WAAPA masters student, from the Classical Voice and Opera Program, Ms Deborah Rogers, who was recently selected to join Opera Queensland as a member of their Young Artist Program.

Opera Queensland is the second largest opera company in Australia, with over 25 years of experience, and a commitment to providing young and emerging artists the opportunity to grow and develop their talents.

The Young Artist Program is open to singers across Australia and provides a fantastic opportunity for singers to develop their skills in a professional company environment.

Coordinator of Vocal Studies and Opera, Ms Patricia Price, congratulates Deborah on her fantastic achievement.

“The Young Artist Program is highly competitive, and to be accepted is a credit to Deborah and the hard work she has put in during her time at WAAPA.”

“She is a wonderful student who can act, dance and sing, and is a fantastic role model for young artists. We are extremely proud of her achievements, and wish her all the best in the future,” said Ms Price.
