ECU calls community to action through environmental movie screening
Friday, 22 October 2010
ECU green officers invite staff, students and community members to attend a free screening of the highly acclaimed environmental movie entitled, Home.
Directed by French photographer, Yann Arthus-Bertrand, Home illustrates the world we live in through breathtaking imagery and creates a powerful environmental message about the damage humans have caused in the past 50 years.
Unsettling at times, the movie shares a very clear message about our planet and puts the responsibility on us as individuals to work to reverse the damage done or face the irrevocable consequences.
The movie shares a timely message with its audience, and encourages viewers to act now and rectify the damage done to our planet, putting the onus on us as individuals to make a difference.
