Teaching graduate receives recognition at WA Education Awards

Congratulations to Bachelor of Arts (Education) graduate, Ms Hayley Hoskin, who recently received the WA Beginning Teacher of the Year Award at the WA Education Awards, held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on Monday, 6 December 2010.

The awards are divided into a number of different categories and acknowledge and recognise the contributions of passionate, dedicated and outstanding public school teachers, principals and support staff in educating the children of Western Australia.

Ms Hoskin, who graduated from ECU in 2007 with a double degree in Arts and Education, is an English teacher at Mindarie Senior College and was recognised for her enthusiasm and dedication to her teaching, as well as being a positive young female role model for her students.

Head of the School of Education, Professor Christine Ure, congratulated Hayley on her achievements.

“We are extremely proud of the great work Hayley is doing in the community and on behalf of the School of Education we would like to congratulate Hayley on her recent success, and wish her all the best as she continues to develop her career,” said Professor Ure.
