ECU Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Kerry Cox, was pleased to welcome delegates from Zhejiang University of Media and Communications to the Mount Lawley Campus on Thursday, 12 May as they renewed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two institutions.
The delegation, which consisted of Vice President, Professor Wang Yuanming; Associate Dean, School of Creative Culture, Professor Xu Fenglan; Associate Dean, School of Management, Professor Zhu Xuguang; and Associate Dean, School of International Cultures and Communications, Professor He Qiliang, were officially welcomed by Professor Cox and other members of the senior leadership team.
Professor Cox and Professor Wang Yuanming renewed the MOU with an official signing ceremony.
The delegation met with Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Engagement, Equity and Indigenous), Professor Brenda Cherednichenko; Head of School, Communications and Arts, Professor Clive Barstow; Program Director, Arts and Creative, Dr Mark McMahon; and Program Director, School of Communications and Arts, Associate Professor Susan Ash, to discuss the development of future programs between the Faculty of Education and Arts and the Faculty of Business and Law.
The delegates also met with Associate Dean International, Associate Professor Maryam Omari and Director of the Student Services Centre, Dr Glenda Jackson to discuss future study abroad programs.
“ECU’s partnership with Zhejiang University of Media and Communications highlights our commitment to developing and maintaining key relationships with international institutions,” said Professor Cox.
“We were pleased to welcome the delegates to the Mount Lawley Campus yesterday as we made a firm commitment to continue this strong relationship, now and in the future.”
