ECU was pleased to welcome US Consul General, Miss Aleisha Woodward to the Mount Lawley campus on Wednesday, 6 July.

Miss Woodward spoke to a group of ECU International Business students during a one-and-half hour session about the US-Australia relationship. She covered a range of topics relating to business and international affairs, including the impact of technology on diplomacy around the world and privacy issues. Miss Woodward also provided the students with insights into her life as a diplomat.

The group consisted of seven students from the United States, who are currently visiting the University as part of an ECU-run International Business study tour. The students are touring Perth for two weeks before a week-long visit to Singapore.

Acting Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Advancement), Professor John Finlay-Jones, officially welcomed Miss Woodward to ECU.

Professor Gary Chittick and Head of School (Management) Professor Rowena Barrett were also present during the session, which was a great learning experience for the students.
