Edith Cowan Anniversary Celebration Awards
Tuesday, 12 July 2011
This year Edith Cowan University is pleased to pay tribute to the University’s namesake Edith Dircksey Cowan. 2011 marks the 150th anniversary of Edith Cowan's birth, the 90th anniversary of her election to Parliament and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Edith Cowan University in her honour.
In recognition of these anniversary celebrations, the University will be combining the presentation of the Vice-Chancellor’s staff and student awards at a special anniversary event, under the banner of the Edith Cowan Anniversary Celebration Awards.
Nominations for both awards are now open. The awards are an opportunity to recognise, reward and encourage all staff and students for outstanding efforts and achievements throughout the year, and also pay tribute to Edith herself, who embodied the University values of integrity, respect, rational inquiry and personal excellence.
