Visitors enjoying the Joondalup Open Day
Visitors to the campus braved the weather to experience the impressive display areas and learn more about ECU and the courses on offer. Audiences were captivated by the interactive, hands-on displays, including handling reptiles, Degrees Brewery, and the exciting chemistry extravaganza.
The staff at the Health Simulation Centre demonstrated the pregnancy journey and visitors were able to have hands-on experience by wearing empathy bellies and using birthing and new born simulators. Sports Science staff were kept busy with visitors challenging themselves with sprint cycling, high jumping tests and reaction time analyses. ECU’s informative staff kept visitors both interested and out of breath.
Motor racing and flight simulators were popular interactive displays and provided visitors the chance to challenge themselves. The Study Area Zone was busy throughout the day with prospective students taking the opportunity to chat one-one-one with lecturers and past students.
Information sessions gave prospective students the chance to learn about the admissions process, fees, scholarships and alternative entry pathways.
The Nova Casanovas provided entertainment and the cash grab machine proved popular with one lucky competition winner going home with an armful of prizes.
The Mount Lawley Open Day, including WAAPA, will be held at the Mount Lawley Campus on Sunday, 7 August from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
