ECU students are packing their bags for Germany next year, thanks to an international partnership with the German Sport University in Cologne.

ECU Partnership Development Manager Ms Julie Gravel visited the German campus in November to meet with the two exchange students that are heading to ECU, along with Head of the Office of International Affairs, Dr Gerard King.

"We are so excited about the exchange between our two universities,” Dr King said.

“We look forward to students from both sides leaving their comfort zone and broadening their horizons both academically and personally”

ECU began the new exchange partnership in April 2011 and are set to send and receive their first batch of exchange students in Semester 1, 2012,

The German Sport University is Germany’s largest and most prestigious centre for teaching and research in physical education and sports science.

There are currently a number of exchange opportunities for students to head over and study at the University.

For more information on this and other exchange opportunities visit the ECU International webpage.
