The four member organisations of the Joondalup Learning Precinct (JLP) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will see them open up their facilities for use by staff and students.

The official MoU signing was attended by:

  • ECU Vice-Chancellor Professor Kerry Cox;
  • City of Joondalup CEO Garry Hunt;
  • West Coast Institute of Training Acting Managing Director Russell Coad; and
  • West Australian Police Academy Principal Craig Donaldson.

The facilities to be shared will include conference rooms, meeting rooms, event facilities, seminars and professional development workshops.

The MoU was formally signed in the ECU Council Chambers at ECU Joondalup on Friday, 21 September 2012 with the entire JLP Board present.

Professor Cox welcomed the group to ECU before proceedings got underway.

The JLP representatives gave speeches on how the Precinct had been a positive for the organisations involved and the signing of this agreement would be a boost to both the community and the student population from all three educational establishments.
