How would you like to ride your bicycle along Perth’s empty freeways?
That’s what the ECU Freeway Bike Hike for Asthma is all about. For this first time, ECU’s Joondalup Campus will be a start point for one of the four distances.
On Sunday, 3 April 2016 riders will enjoy completely car-free freeways as they ride from Joondalup to Elizabeth Quay in the Perth CBD for the 30km mid hike.
If the 30km distance isn’t for you there are 60km, 10km or 1km versions to suit riders of all abilities.
Everyone who registers before the end of February is eligible for a 10 per cent discount.
As part of ECU’s partnership with the event, ECU students can take advantage of a further 10 per cent discount when they register with their student email and use the code ECUstudent10.
This year event organisers hope to attract more than 8000 participants to the ride.
Established 12 years ago, the Hike has raised close to $3 million for the Asthma Foundation WA, directly benefitting 10 per cent of the WA population who are affected by asthma.
