The new Perth Graduate School of Business at Edith Cowan University (ECU) opened for students this week.

Newly refurbished buildings at ECU's Mount Lawley Campus will be principal home to the Perth Graduate School of Business. The new, modern facilities support ECU's innovative approach to teaching and learning and will enhance the overall experience of studying.

The Perth Graduate School of Business offers a range of postgraduate business and law courses in a flexible and supportive learning environment designed to meet the needs of students already in the workforce.

Students can study courses that have been developed to meet current and future industry needs, with full-time, part-time and external units available.

Students can study the Masters of Business Administration course, as well as Certificate, Masters, and PhD programs in a wide range of areas including accounting, finance, management, marketing, human resources, law and justice.

A number of new study areas are also offered at Perth Graduate School of Business, including electronic commerce, sport management, enterprise integration, leadership and urban and regional planning.

Director of Graduate Studies, Associate Professor Gary Chittick says the Perth Graduate School of Business offers postgraduate students an innovative approach to teaching and learning.

"The Perth Graduate School of Business is where the knowledge, skills, networks and experience of our staff and students come together to provide a complete learning experience," he said.

ECU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kerry Cox says the new Graduate School is an important development for the University.

"Business students already value their ECU courses very highly by national benchmarks," he said.

"ECU's state-of-the-art facilities will lead to even better outcomes and opportunities for business and law professionals."

Enrolments for 2009 are now being accepted. Information evenings and tours will be announced later this year.
