Make a date with ECU Mount Lawley this Sunday!

Friday, 31 July 2009

Make a date with Edith Cowan University (ECU) on Sunday, 2 August for Open Day at the Mount Lawley Campus.

This free event is a great chance for prospective students and their families to explore course and career options, get a feel for the campus, take part in hands-on activities and find out what life at ECU is really like.

Future students can speak to staff and current students about ECU courses and go behind-the-scenes to see ECU’s world-class learning facilities.

There'll be hands-on activities, exhibitions, fashion shows, competitions and prizes, leadership challenges, eye-opening criminology and ‘virtual worlds’ simulations.

Information sessions on the admissions process, fees, scholarships and alternative entry pathways will also be held throughout the day.

Go behind the scenes at the WA Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and tour the workshops and studios or visit rehearsals and performances of WAAPA productions.

Those with a passion for fashion can check out contemporary fashion pieces and costumes for WAAPA productions designed and crafted by students.

Tour ECU’s TV and radio studios or learn more about games programming and virtual worlds.

Our Business Edge team will bring out your teamwork, communication and leadership skills in the ‘human knot’ challenge or you can try your hand at ‘Deal or No Deal’.

Get a feel for campus life at the Student Experience Zone and talk to current students about some of the great clubs and groups at ECU.

The Kids’ Zone is the place to be for the young at heart and you can find out what impact your choices can have on your health and the environment at the Impact Zone.

The day runs from 10.00am to 3.00pm and you can pick up your showbag from any of our blue and white information tents.
