Edith Cowan University (ECU) is opening a new state-of–the-art crèche at the Mount Lawley Campus, on Monday, 26 July.
The Crèche will provide ECU staff and students, as well as gym members, the opportunity to leave their children in a safe, modern environment while studying, working or visiting the Campus.
Crèche facilities include a fantastic soft play area with sandpit and shade, brand new indoor and outdoor equipment and a variety of toys and activities for children, aged eight-weeks to 7 years old.
Crèche staff are well trained and experienced and committed to adhering to specific health and hygiene standards as outlined by the University.
ECU staff member and gym user, Ms Tamara Gorczynski, is excited to see the Mount Lawley Crèche open its doors.
“As a staff member and new mum, it’s great to know that I can pick up some extra work shifts or use the gym myself and still have peace of mind that my baby is well looked after.
“The set up of the room is fantastic, there is a great range of new and exciting toys and the staff are friendly, experienced and great at what they do,” said Ms Gorczynski.
ECU Sports Senior Administrator, Ms Hayley Reader, believes the Crèche will provide ongoing support to parents, particularly those who work full time at the University.
“It’s so exciting to be able to offer both the staff and students an affordable and much anticipated childcare service.
“I’m so impressed with the finished result and believe it will be asset to the ECU community for years to come,” said Ms Reader.
