ECU to establish mobile health service for northern suburbs

Edith Cowan University (ECU) has been allocated $496,936 in federal government funding to establish a Mobile Chronic Disease Management Service to serve a number of community sites from ECU’s Joondalup Campus.

New Books at ECU

Three writers will launch new books at Edith Cowan University’s (ECU’s) Mount Lawley Campus on Wednesday, 3 August at 6.30pm. They are:

• The World Swimmers by prize-winning author Patrick West;
• A Show of Colours: Poems of the Yilgarn by internationally known poet and Mt Lawley resident Glen Phillips; and
• Footsteps Along the Mekong, a memoir and travel work by Adjunct Professor and Charles Darwin expert Patrick Armstrong.

Additionally, Glen Phillips will re-launch facsimile copies of Intersections, his first poetry collection, a hand-made lithographic collaboration with five artists back in 1973.

$100,000 boost for Indigenous health research

Edith Cowan University’s (ECU’s) research into Indigenous health has been strengthened by a $100,000 donation from not-for-profit organisation Bellberry Ltd. The donation will be officially presented at an event at the Mount Lawley Campus today, Friday, 24 June 2011.
