Automated sensor for real time plant discrimination and weed control (Photonic Detection Systems, Pty Ltd)

Precision agriculture, particularly Sugar and Cotton Industries, mining, road quality monitoring, railways, and security.

IP status

PCT filed by PDS Pty Ltd with Prof Kamal Alameh being the sole inventor. PDS will pay royalty fees to ECU for developed products.

Current status

Bench-top prototype developed, which demonstrated limited green-from-green plant discrimination in laboratory environment. Awarded an ARC Linkage Grant in 2010. Field trials completed, modifications being made to product. PDS potentially seeking investment / partners.
