ECU science students recognised for innovation

ECU students Melissa Bradbury and Matthew Winters have won the Science and Innovation Studentship Award offered by the Department of Industry and Resources. Valued at $7,000 the Award gives each student the opportunity to gain valuable professional experience in developing and applying their own ideas.

Melissa's project involves research around data security while Matthew's project will assist truffle farmers in the production of black truffles in the South-West region. The students will undertake a ten-week placement with a host organisation over the university summer break to carry out their projects.
