Professor Rob Newton appointed to national research board

Professor Rob Newton, Foundation Professor of Exercise and Sports Science, has been appointed to the Australian Primary Health Care Research Institute's Research Advisory Board.
Based at the Australian National University, the Institute works to improve the quality and effectiveness of primary health care through the conduct of high quality, priority driven research, and the support and promotion of best practice.
The Institute is a joint initiative of ANU and the Federal Department of Health and Ageing.
Rob will work with other Board members to identify new research areas, consider funding applications and allocate federal government funding.
