Help raise money for Parkinson's research
ECU’s Parkinson’s Centre (ParkC) is hosting an exclusive Wild Target fundraising movie night this Thursday, 4 November 2010 at Grand Cinemas, Warwick.
The aim of the event is to raise essential funds for research into Parkinson’s disease.
Director of the Parkinson’s Centre, Dr Meghan Thomas says Parkinson’s disease affects hundreds of thousands of Australians each year, and is a global phenomenon that currently has no known cure.
“The research program currently in place at ParkC aims to determine different subtypes of Parkinson’s, and whether or not these subtypes have different natural progressions and underlying pathologies,” said Dr Thomas.
Tickets are only $10.00 and can be purchased by contacting ParkC volunteer, Pam van Omme on 0459 527 150.
