ECU launches the research video series Research@ECU - Research Making a Difference
Friday, 18 March 2011
ECU’s Office of Research and Innovation (ORI) is pleased to launch the online video series Research@ECU which will provide the ECU community with an insight into the stories behind some of ECU’s talented and successful researchers.
Researchers will be profiled on a monthly basis, with the series providing a great avenue to promote their research and how it is making a difference and impacting the world around us, while also providing the ECU community with access to an online library of research stories.
Using professional, television standards, these compelling 90-second videos are a great way to promote research in a visual way, combining footage and interviews to profile a different research area each week.
The first video features ECU Faculty of Business and Law researcher Dr Julian Dooley, who has been an investigator on over $2m worth of research grants to date. In recognition of his research into cyber-safety and anti-social behaviours, Julian has also been awarded:
- 2010 Winner of Edith Cowan University Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Research by Early Career Researchers
- 2010 Fellowship to attend the European Union funded COST Cyberbullying Training School, April 11-16, Melbourne, Australia
- 2009 Certificate of Excellence in Research, Edith Cowan University
- 2009 Certificate of Excellence for Early Career Researchers, Edith Cowan University
